Managing Partner

Mo in addition to managing the office is closely involved with a number of clients.

Mo's specialism is solving problems, has a constructive understanding of tax and wherever possible will "Make it Work".

Mo graduated from the University of Leicester with a BA in 1983 and moved into accountancy with a Bournemouth based practice, qualifying in 1983 before working as an accounting manager with Chase Manhattan now J P Morgan.

In January 1991 Mo joined with Chris Stewart the founding partner and together opened an office in Westbourne.

Accountancy and Audit Partner

Mike manages the general accounting and auditing side of the practice, is in charge of compliance and ensures we keep up to date with all the regulations.

Mike is responsible for the delivery of efficient, timely and pro-active client service for a wide range of clients. One of his specialisms is company advisory work, whether it is accounts or audit compliance work, tax planning exercises or corporate re-structuring

Having been involved in a number of outsourcing assignments for companies of all sizes, he is well placed to advise you on the most efficient way that we can assist you in outsourcing your accounts department.

Mike joined the firm 10 years ago having set up on his own for a period. Previously he was a senior manager with the largest local firm of chartered accountants.

Founding Partner

Chris obtained his practicing certificate in 1977 and was initially with Grant Thornton, then Arthur Andersen in London before spending 5 years as a senior lending manager with a merchant bank.

Chris has been at the sharp end of various businesses, including house construction and development in Cornwall, Pizza manufacturing in Hampshire and necktie manufacture in South Wales and China.

Having worked with the customers of a number of venture capital organisations, Chris is well placed to assist in maximising shareholder value, managing change and exit strategies.

Recent assignments include:

  • Non executive director of Hampshire based supplier of Fire and security products including internal and external sounders, power supply units and contacts, manufacturing in the UK and in the Far East. Turnover £8m
  • Acting as financial director of a local manufacturing company in the domestic appliance market, turnover £3m. Assisting with monthly accounts package, preparing budgets, attending board meetings, liaising with banks.

Associate Partner

Laura joined the firm in July 2002 as a trainee accountant and passed her ACCA exams in March 2006.

Laura is involved in all aspects of accounting and taxation (both individual and company), including company secretarial and other compliance work.

She is involved in HMRC enquiries and inspections and is currently studying towards the Chartered Institute of Taxation exams.

Laura is a trainer of sage programs for clients, and liaises with clients as required.
