Managing Partner
Mo in addition to managing the office is closely involved with a number of clients.
Mo's specialism is solving problems, has a constructive understanding of tax and wherever possible will "Make it Work".
Mo graduated from the University of Leicester with a BA in 1983 and moved into accountancy with a Bournemouth based practice, qualifying in 1983 before working as an accounting manager with Chase Manhattan now J P Morgan.
In January 1991 Mo joined with Chris Stewart the founding partner and together opened an office in Westbourne.
Outside the office Mo is an accomplished sportsman and currently plays off 8 handicap at Golf, has played Badminton to a good standard, now plays Racketball in the local premier league and has just taken up skiing.

Accountancy and Audit Partner
Mike manages the general accounting and auditing side of the practice, is in charge of compliance and ensures we keep up to date with all the regulations.
Having been involved in a number of outsourcing assignments for companies of all sizes, he is well placed to advise you on the most efficient way that we can assist you in outsourcing your accounts department.
Mike joined the firm 8 years ago having set up on his own for a period. Previously he was a senior manager with the largest local firm of chartered accountants.
Mike has always lived locally and is a keen football and cricket fan. He is married with 2 young children aged 7 and 10.

Founding Partner
Chris obtained his practicing certificate in 1977 and was initially with Grant Thornton, then Arthur Andersen in London before spending 5 years as a senior lending manager with a merchant bank.
Chris has been at the sharp end of various businesses, including house construction and development in Cornwall, Pizza manufacturing in Hampshire and necktie manufacture in South Wales and China.
Having worked with the customers of a number of venture capital organisations, Chris is well placed to assist in maximising shareholder value, managing change and exit strategies.
Recent assignments include:
- Non executive director of Hampshire based supplier of Fire and security products including internal and external sounders, power supply units and contacts, manufacturing in the UK and in the far east. Turnover £8m
- Acting as financial director of a local manufacturing company in the domestic appliance market, turnover £3m. Assisting with monthly accounts package, preparing budgets, attending board meetings, liaising with banks.
Chris is married with 2 grown up children and in his spare time enjoys sailing and swimming.

Associate Partner
Laura joined the firm in July 2002 as a trainee accountant and passed her ACCA exams in March 2006.
Laura is involved in all aspects of accounting and taxation (both individual and company), including company secretarial and other compliance work.
She is involved in HMRC enquiries and inspections and is currently studying towards the Chartered Institute of Taxation exams.
Laura is a trainer of sage programs for clients, and liases with clients as required.
Laura manages, trains and supervises the junior staff and in her spare time enjoys ballet lessons, watching ballet and reading.
Anja Heijnen FCCA - anja.heijnen@stewartaccountants.co.uk
Associate Partner
Anja was born in Holland and came to live in Bournemouth in 1996.
Anja had a financial background in Holland and continued her development at Stewart & Co, before taking up a position within an internatinoal cosmetics company based in Poole. In her time she gained extensive experience in global financial reporting, business development and management qualifying as a certified accountant in 2002.
Anja maintained her contact with Stewart & Co and rejoined the practice in September 2007.
Anja's speciality is in the production of management accounts.
In her spare time Anja competes as a top amateur triathlete/duathlete with a recent 2nd place at the Abu Dhabi international triathlon.
